Where the GBG Trust Alert Service is activated, these Additional Terms shall apply:

DEFINITIONS
1.1. In these Additional Terms, the following definitions shall apply, in addition to the definitions set out in the Agreement:

“GBG Trust Alert Service” means a service that augments transaction data with flags/alerts that indicate if potential fraud may have been detected through analysis of data collected by the GBG Trust: Alert Service

“GBG Trust Alert Service Subscribers” means a collective group of customers common to GBG that have agreed to use the GBG Trust Alert Service

“De-identify” means information that is no longer about an identifiable individual or an individual who is reasonably identifiable.

“Pseudonymise” means the processing of Personal Data in such a manner that the Personal Data can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without the use of additional information

“Verification Subject” means a customer that the End User and/or other GBG Trust: Alert Service subscribers have considered for verification and subsequently passed to GBG for identity verification purposes

  1. GBG Trust: Alert Service

2.1         Where the GBG Trust: Alert Service has been activated; the End User will receive notification where a Verification Subject may have had potential fraud identified via the GBG Trust: Alert Service.

2.2         The GBG Trust: Alert Service will use de-identified and pseudonymised information (compiled with other information obtained from other GBG Trust: Alert Service Subscribers) to attempt to detect potential fraud in accordance with the terms of use of this GBG Trust: Alert Service.

2.3         Where the GBG Trust: Alert Service is activated as part of the Services GBG currently provides, the End User:

(a) Warrants that all necessary permissions are obtained in accordance with this clause;

(b) Warrants that notification to Data Subjects that their information will be used for both identity verification and fraud detection purposes has been provided and obtained their consent to do so;

(c)  Warrants that the collection statement meets all of the requirements of the Privacy Act 1988 and other Applicable Data Protection Laws, including advising individuals of GBG’s role in processing their data;

(d) Consents to the disclosure of de-identified and pseudonymized information obtained for the limited purpose of delivery of the GBG Trust: Alert Service to the End User and other GBG Trust: Alert Service Subscribers; and

(e) Agree to share any de-identified and pseudonymised information obtained in accordance with  2.3(b) with GBG so as to allow for the delivery of the GBG Trust: Alert Service to GBG Trust: Alert Service Subscribers.

2.4         The End User acknowledges that, in activating the GBG Trust: Alert Service, the End User will provide Personal Data to GBG that GBG will de-identify by way of Pseudonymisation and, at GBG’s election, retain in accordance with the provision of the GBG Trust: Alert Service.

2.5         The End User agrees that upon anonymisation of the relevant Personal Data contained in any record created in connection with the GBG Trust: Alert Service, the provisions set out in the Privacy Act 1988 will no longer apply.
