Local Laws

The following terms apply when a particular jurisdiction, country, territory or regulated sector requires GBG or the Customer to comply with additional obligations when purchasing one or all of GBG’s Services. Where applicable, these Local Laws are supplementary to the General Terms agreed by the Parties and shall, together with the relevant Product Terms, apply to the provision of the Software or Service purchased by the Customer Entity from the GBG Entity. Where there is a conflict between the General Terms and these Local Laws, these Local Laws shall take precedence.

    The following terms apply when a Customer and/or GBG is subject to EU GDPR and/or the UK GDPR when transferring Customer Data or Results and the transfer is classed as a Restricted Transfer. These Local Laws are supplementary to the General Terms agreed by the Parties and referenced in the Order Form and shall together with the Product Terms apply to the provision of the Service purchased by the Customer Entity from the GBG Entity. Where there is a conflict between the General Terms and these Local Laws, these Local Laws shall take precedence.

Local Laws are supplementary to the General Terms agreed by the Parties and referenced in the Order Form and shall, together with the Product Terms apply to the provision of the Service purchased by the Customer Entity from the GBG Entity. Where there is a conflict between the General Terms and these Local Laws, these Local Laws shall take precedence.

    Loqate Customers Only

    The following table sets out, in relation to a particular Loqate Service, in what capacity we will act when supplying the Services to you and in what capacity you will be acting when you supply your data to us and/or take the relevant Services. It is particularly important that you understand the capacity in which we both act so that you understand what laws you will need to abide by and which laws we will abide by. You will see that our Local Laws page sets out the laws applicable in each of the UK, EU, Canada and US.

    Part 1 of these terms shall apply where the GBG Entity providing the Services is identified as acting in the role of Processor in the Loqate Data Privacy Roles Table that can be found here.

    Part 2 of these terms shall only apply where the relevant transfer is classed as a Restricted Transfer (as defined below). These Local Laws are supplementary to the General Terms agreed by the Parties and referenced in the Order Form and shall together with the Product Terms apply to the provision of the Service purchased by the Customer Entity from the GBG Entity. Where there is a conflict between the General Terms, the Product Terms and these Local Laws, these Local Laws shall take precedence.
